Sly
If you don't have someone in your group who wears a wife beater, you don't have anything. Sly's favorite games are shooters. His lightning fast reflexes and tactical planning enable him to protect strategic points and overtake those held by the enemy. Sometimes he gets carried away and threatens to hurt people in real life, which is not very flocklike, but some pricks could use a good kick to the mandible. Sly struck it rich as a centerfold in Play Ewe, so he doesn't work any more. Bastard. Outside of gaming he enjoys working out and spending money.
Howard>
When Howard comes through the door, you can almost hear the electric guitar a la Shaft. He's been playing games since his afro was in style... the first time. While he is pleased that his hair is once again in style, he is even more excited that so many retro games he played as a teen and bachelor are being re-released on Next Gen consoles for his children to enjoy. That's right, Howard has a pair of teenage lambs that are as into games as he is. He doesn't mind that they get Bs and Cs in school, but watch out if they drop a rank in World of World of Warcraft PvP. But we digress. His favorite genres are real time strategy and simulation. Perhaps this is partially because Howard spent 10 years as a Marine Corps infantry officer. After the military he started a business brokerage, where he specializes in identifying small companies for large companies to gobble up.
Manfred
Manny (what were his parents thinking?) is a genius. He was on track to graduate from college by age 10, but when he was 9 he decided instead to drop out and start his own pharmeceutical research company. It's tempting for him to make drugs that he's knows would make Ecstasy look like aspirin, but thus far he has not yielded to the Siren song of pleasure and profit. While he laments the lack of games with realistic fluid dynamics and chemical reactions, he finds solace in high quality role playing games. In fact, many of his profits are invested in Square Enix, Bioware, and NCSoft as a private equity partner. In single player games Manny's characters are so freaking powerful that when he gets to the final boss they actually fall down and weep at his feet for mercy, which he does not grant them. Manny is the dedicated macro and UI writer for his friends in all of the MMORPGs he plays. With his genius backing them, his guilds and clans easily dominate all those newbs who dare to oppose their righteousness. When he's not tinkering with chemicals or RPGs, Manny enjoys taking his friends' money over free beer and poker.
